Month Sixteen

I should preface my next sentence by saying most parents think that they have the cutest and smartest kid around. Ben and I think we have the cutest and smartest kid around.  If he's not being silly and trying to play a trick on you by acting like he's going to hand you something then quickly pulling it away before you can grab it or running and hiding behind a door as still and quiet as can be when you call for him;  then he's being a little angel giving big bear hugs and kisses, snuggling, and using his manners.  This stage is by far the best and our whole family is totally and completely in love with him.

Loves running around in just a diaper
Has a new look he gives where he raises his eyebrows and gives a shit eating grin that gets me laughing every time.
Is obsessed with Winnie the Pooh (thanks to my mom).
Is learning more and more words by the day but still loves to just jibber jabber away!
Brushes his teeth for real now!

15 and 16 month favorites!

1. Brown Bear Book- Reading books is still his number one favorite thing to do!
2. Crayons- At our 15 month wellness check up his doc told us to get him some crayons and let him go to town which we did.  The hard part is getting him to only go to town on the paper!
3.  Two piece jams-  I love these ones from Old Navy but I am on the hunt for some organic cotton ones for this summer.  P.S. A lot of Old Navy's jams (and Gap's) are on sale right now!
4.  Pooh and Friends- The Dude is obsessed. He started watching Pooh at my mom's house and now all of a sudden it's "Pooh!" "Pooh!" "OOOh Pooh!".  He loves his little figurines. They're meant to be bath toys but Charlie keeps his out so he can play with them all day.  We line them up and hulk smash them down.  He can say all their names except Piglet "Pee" and Tigger "Tee" but he can say Eeyore like a boss (I even caught it on camera in case Ben didn't believe me)!
5.  Straw Sippy's-  We are strictly straw sippers over here!  We got rid of all his regular sippy cups and transitioned to straws with great success. Every once in a while he'll forget and tip it up like a sippy cup and then get frustrated that nothings coming out so we have to remind him to bring it back down but other than that, he loves it!  How could he not with these cute little animal cups from target!

Our Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter!  Spend majority of the day driving all over NE Ohio but it's definitely worth it getting to see all our family, eating our weight in multiple Easter dinners and Charlie getting to open not one- not two- not three but FOUR baskets.

Even though he wanted no part of the Easter Bunny he was very happy to see that the Bunny brought goodies while he slept.  "Do you love the Easter Bunny, Charlie?" "Yea!" " Do you want to give him a hug and thank him for your basket?" "No!"

We finished decorating our Easter eggs and cupcakes and off we went!

P.S.  I am still working on my butter cream frosting recipe.  As you can see I just can't get it right.  We had glazed cupcakes, not frosted.  lol

Turns out the dude is an outstanding egg hunter.  There were at least two dozen eggs for him to find and he found them all in no time.  After he found each egg he'd yell "EEEEEGG!"  then slam dunk it in the bag.
We had such a fun day!

Easter Bunny

It was all Easter Bunny talk this morning in the Reeder household.  "Do you want to go see the Easter Bunny today, Charlie?!"  "Ya, Ya, Ya!"  So off we went.

We made sure to get there early again so we didn't have to wait in a long line. The Bunny waived to Charlie as we waited and Charlie waived back, he even blew the Bunny a kiss!  I thought we would have a similar experience as when we saw Santa- a little sceptical at first but a good picture in the end.  I was soo wrong.  As soon as we started walking towards the Bunny Charlie started screaming NOOOOO! and literally clawed his way up my shoulder and behind my head.  I have never seen him terrified like that before and I really wasn't trying to traumatize the kid.  Even if I wanted to sit him on the Bunny's lap for a "funny" crying picture there was no way I could pry him off me.  So we graciously bowed out.  Charlie even mustered up a wave goodbye and a smile threw the tears and snotty nose.  We found a smoothie station, shared a pineapple kale smoothie and called it a day.

For fun I asked him if he wanted to go back and try and give the bunny a hug.  He looked at me like I was bat shit crazy and said "No, No, No, No!"
Oh well, maybe next year :)

Video Favorites

I didn't realize until recently that I can post videos! Naturally I've decided to collect some of my favorites from birth until now to share.  I'm sure there are a ton that won't make the cut because A. My voice is super annoying and B. I look ratchet.  That only leaves a few. I hope you enjoy them because I've been downloading (and cursing at) these videos for 2 damn weeks AND turns out I couldn't find any where I don't sound annoying or look rachet- so whatever!

Charlie's first video just minutes after he was born...

Charlie finds his hands...and loves eating them!

Sour Faces...

Eskimo kisses from Papa...

Being silly and scaring Momma!

Mean Mugger!
