First Trimester Favs

I thought I'd put together a list of my favorite things during my first trimester, just a few things that helped get me through:)  You can also check out my maternity favorites here from when I was pregnant with Charlie.

1.  My mom turned me on to this awesome mascara (we were both blessed with the worlds shortest eyelashes) that I quickly became obsessed with the moment I tried it.  On those mornings when I had negative 0 seconds to get myself ready for work and the dude ready for his day because I couldn't get out of bed this mascara saved my life.  It not only eliminates the need for eye liner it totally made my short lashed look extra long and luscious.  Love!

2.  This cardigan is A. on sale right now and B. not maternity so everyone can enjoy.  I am not kidding when I say I wear it at least twice a week.  Once to work and then once or twice on the weekend. I'm definitely going to snag a couple other colors since I'm obviously getting my monies worth.

3.  La Croix's are my jam!  Zero calories and since Ben doesn't like them I don't have to share.  My in laws keep a stash at their house just for me:) Boom!

4.  The BKR water bottles are so cute!  They're BPA-free, glass and silicone.  I am trying to drink more water.  Ben and I are going to get one of those big Culligan water dispensers in our office too!

5. My Bookshout app must know I'm pregnant because I got an email with a free download of Jenny McCarthy's Belly laughs which is pretty good!  Even though I'm not a huge fan of hers I'd still recommend it.  I haven't finished it yet but so far it's been hilarious and very candid!  Good read if you have one or five kids:)

This past weekend Ben, Charlie and I hit up the I-X Center for the Home Improvement show to get some ideas for our new home.  It wasn't what we thought it was going to be so we'll have to head back next month for the Home and Garden show.  We did realize while we were there that Charlie needs one of those monster play sets at the new house.  He loved the ones they have on display.  He had such a good time so the trip wasn't a total waste.

This past weekend we also completely changed our house floor plan. Our builder probably hates us. Haha This new floor plan just makes more sense for our growing family.  It has some great features that our old plan didn't have and it's a lot bigger.  We also got some disturbing news about our property which was a bummer but nothing that I think will hold us back from breaking ground in a few months.  *fingers crossed*

Happy Weekend, Friends!!

13 Week Bumpdate

Presenting... my hump. My hump, my hump, my hump.  My lovely baby bump. Check it out...

I'm super excited to compare this photo to my 40 week photo!  Really wish I would have done this with my first pregnancy.  It will be cool to see the progression and transformation.  Also, the bump is as big now as it was when I was 5 mo. preggo with Charlie so there's that...

How far along?  13 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? +8 lbs. ALREADY. Fuck.
Maternity clothes? Some work pants.  I busted those bad boys out at week 10.
Stretch marks?  No
Sleep? It's not great but it's not that bad either.

Best moment this week? Starting to feel energized again!
Miss Anything? Yes, lot's of stuff, but right now mostly Margarita's.  Just thinking about that sweet/sour/savory flavor makes my mouth water!
Movement? Not sure, I think I might have felt something a few times but I
m not certain yet.
Food cravings? Yes.
Basically, if its a bazillion+ calories, Im craving it and up until last week I was eating it too!  Now that I'm feeling better I'm keeping my cravings under control.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Yes, Ive felt queasy & nauseous 24/7 from weeks 3-12.  I'm feeling much better now though!
Have you started to show yet? Yup!

Twenty Four Months

I'm so late with this post, I think because subconsciously I'm sad that it's his last monthly update:(  Moving forward I think I'll just give updates as they pop up or every couple months for him.  I have decided I'm going to do pregnancy updates for baby #2 (which, in true stephanie fashion, I'm already late on) something I wish I would have done with Charlie but just never got around to.  So between Charlie, baby #2 pregnancy and house updates I have a lot of documenting to do these next couple of months.  Can't wait to share!

At his two year well visit he jumped up to the 99.9 percentile for both height and weight.  I swear the kid is as big as a four year old! And as smart as one too!

Can count to 20 on his own
Can sing the alphabet on his own
Still loves to sing songs
Loves to wrestle with dad, be chased (he yells "Can't catch me!" and then takes off) and play hide and seek.
Is pronouncing some words that were previously hard for him really well now i.e. "mana" to "banana" and "so me" to "follow me".
In general he talks really well and in full sentences.
Is finally on a great sleep schedule.  One 2 hr nap during the day (for me at least.  He gives his grandmas a hard time during nap time).  Goes to bed at 8pm and wakes up at 6am.
Is the sweetest little boy, I love him soo much!

It has been a fun and rewarding year full of laughs and lots of love with this little guy and I can't wait to see what next year brings.

Love you Charlie Beau!

Happy New Year! and other 2015 ramblings

Hope everyone had the happiest of New Years and your all still giving your resolutions 110%!  A friend invited us over with a few other couples and their kids so we took Charlie over to play for a few hours.  We had a great time but we were home and in bed by 10:30pm, there was no way I could stay up for the ball drop and a New Years kiss this year- Momma needs her sleep!  I feel like it was just yesterday that I was sharing my 2014 resolution of staying present and not letting my time with Charlie fly by.  I'm happy to say that I think I kicked my 2014 resolutions ass!  I stayed committed to my blog and took more pictures to document all the little things we did, maximized and cherished all my time away from work with the dude and for most of the year my facebook account was deactivated- something I thought was distracting me during the evenings when I should be "present" with my family.

This year if you noticed on Instagram my original resolution was to be a "fun" mom again i.e. my fun foods for the Dude, to stop feeling sorry for myself about being miserable with nausea and literally try to will my sickness away.

I was going to stop acknowledging it, stop complaining about it and hopefully it would just go away!  Luckily I didn't have to try for very long because this past Sunday as fast as my sickness came, it went!  I am 100% feeling like a normal human being and not a raging hormonal bitch anymore!  Hooray!  Soooo my revised resolution is to have a happy healthy pregnancy and postpartum.  These last couple of months have been dreadful so I'm excited to move into my second trimester with better eating, more exercise and positive vibes!

So far we have kicked off 2015 in a big way.  As of today we are official owners of several acres in my dream location!  We finally found land that is the perfect compromise for Ben and I.  Enough land to where we can't see our neighbors and Ben feels like he is in the country but on a cul-de-sac with 8 other homes on the street so I feel like I'm in a development.  Not to mention the great school district and centralized location between parents and everywhere we need to be for work, it really is a Win-Win Win-Win and I couldn't be happier!  If everything goes as planned we are set to break ground on our new home this spring :)

And lastly, baby Reeder number two's first debut on the blog.  Twenty fifteen's greatest gift to our family!
