Wives Tale Gender Predictions

I thought it would be fun to round up some of the most common wives tales and see how they compare to this pregnancy.  Enjoy!

Bump Height: Boy
Even though my bump doesn't look low, I'm carrying this baby sooo low.  All of the baby's kicks and rolls are happening way below my bellybutton.  I'm really feeling pressure down there way earlier than I did with the Dude.

Mom's Complexion: Boy
Although I'm not feeling extra pretty, my complexion has been good.  I don't have any more blemishes than usual and some days I even feel the "glow".

Baby's Heart rate: Girl
They say anything over 140 is a girl.  Baby #2 started at 166 and has been holding steady in the 150's.  Charlie held steady in the 150's too, so we shall see.

Cravings- Salty or Sweet: Girl
This pregnancy I'm craving ice cream and candy as opposed to last time, all I wanted was pickles and pickle juice.

Chinese Calendar: Boy

1st Trimester Morning Sickness: Girl
Weeks 1-13 I was miserable!

Mayan Calendar: Girl

Gender Dreams: Girl
This wives tale is reversed.  If you dream of a girl then it's a boy and vice versa. I have had two dreams so far about this little baby.  In both of my dreams it was a boy.  When I was pregnant with Charlie, I had one baby dream about a little girl.

Moodiness: Boy
My moodiness has been nothing out of the ordinary.  I've been pretty happy throughout this pregnancy.  Even more so than my last and even during the first trimester when I was sicker than a dog.

Mom's Gut Feeling: Girl
My gut feeling is mostly based on my comparison to being pregnant with Charlie.  When I found out I was pregnant with Charlie my gut was that he was a girl and then during the last trimester I changed my mind and just knew he was a boy.  This time around, the whole pregnancy I've thought it was a boy but all of a sudden (now that it's time to put it in writing) I feel like it's a girl.

Dad's Gut Feeling: Girl
Ben thinks girl too.  He felt the same way when I was pregnant with Charlie though so we'll see!!

Increased Headaches: Boy
I've definitely had increased headaches throughout this pregnancy.  Mostly from my sinuses but a lot more headaches none the less.

So, what do you think baby #2 is?!?!

Happy last day of April, friends! The Dude is ready for some warm weather- bring it!!

Babylist = The Bomb Dot Com

I'm starting to get a lot of people asking what I want/need for baby number two and so far I've been responding with "Oh, nothing."  Until last week when I started writing out a list of things that I'll need to buy before baby comes and I was shocked at how long the list was!  I came across babyli.st and decided to create a list of my own for my family and friends to check out.  Since I'm not having another shower (even if I did it would be a small sprinkle with just the fam) it's a great place to direct people when they ask what I need!

I really wanted to share because I think this site is the shit, it's like Pinterest but better ;)  I totally recommend any of my pregnant or soon to be pregnant friends utilizing this site!  If you already have a registry started somewhere else, don't fret, you can upload your registry to your babylist account. You can add any product from any website (it automatically offers a list of other websites that carry the product and the compared prices) and it allows your guests to choose where they want to buy it.  They just Reserve what they want to buy and then after they've bought it, they mark that it was purchased and Boom-Done! Anyways, totally worth checking out!

Here is the link to my list http://babyli.st/stephanie-and-ben-reeder.  There isn't much "fun" stuff to buy like cute clothes but everything on it is things I'll actually need.

I came across this picture of The Dude last week, it's so hard to imagine him this small anymore.  Ben, Charlie and I spent a good amount of time watching old video clips from when Charlie was a baby the other day.  All three of us were dying laughing (some even made me want to cry he was so cute) but they ultimately got us even more pumped up to have another little one to add to our family.  In case I haven't said it enough, I'm so excited!!

25 Weeks Bumpdate

My 25 week bumpdate is late.  I was home with a sick little boy earlier this week, he totally sabotaged my bump pic (and my picture quality was terrible trying to use my phone) but instead of starting over I said screw it.   This is my life, I'm not perfect.  Honestly, the bump isn't growing like I thought it would.  It got really big, fast the first few weeks after I found out I was pregnant and has pretty much stayed the same ever since so there really isn't much to show this week anyways.

How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss?  14 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes, all of my pants are maternity.
Stretch marks?  No
Sleep? Sleep's ok.  My dreams are seriously crazy, wild and disturbing.

Best moment this week? Another great appointment.  Baby's heart rate is holding steady around 152 (although it has dropped since my first appointment from 166) and Doc says babe is on track to weigh in around the same as Charlie did (7 lbs) at birth.
Miss Anything?  Coffee, Coffee, Coffee!
Movement? Yes and Ben is feeling the movement too!  I can't wait for the Dude to feel them.

Food cravings?  Smoothies and strawberry salads.  Yum!
Anything making you queasy or sick? No, I feel really good!
Have you started to show yet? Yes!
Gender? Bow or Beau, we don't know:)  And apparently the suspense is killing everyone but me!

Labor Signs? No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood? Little things are really annoying me lately.
Looking forward to? Getting out all our baby stuff this weekend to wash and organize.  I'm Starting to feel the "nesting" urge:) 3rd trimester starts next week! Home stretch, baby!

XOXO!

Our Easter 2015

Hope everyone had a happy Easter!  We colored our Easter eggs last week with Ben's family at a little Easter party they have every year.  Charlie was a much bigger help this year than last.  He would slowly lower the eggs in the dye and say "Be very careful, Mama. Ok, are they done!?"  No, Charlie you just put them in. haha  We finished them up when we got home and I think they turn out so cute this year!  I even added an extra little egg for our littlest Reeder:)

Charlie developed a bit of a cold this weekend so by Easter Sunday he wasn't quite feeling himself. BUT it wasn't anything a little visit from the Easter Bunny couldn't cure!

We spent our morning playing with our Easter goodies and chasing a runny nose and then we were off to make our rounds with our families.

If this bunny ears, tail and boxer brief combo isn't the cutest thing ever then I don't even know what is!

And since the Bunny finds his way to all our families houses he got a special delivery at all three of our stops yesterday!  What a lucky Dude.

In other Charlie Beau news, he has officially declared that he wants a baby brother and would like to name him Tarzan! Ha!  Hope everyone has a great week! XOXO
