Christmas Favorites

I hope everyone's weekend went by way slower than mine and started off better too.  I had the crappiest start to my weekend on Friday, I had left work a little early to stop at Giant Eagle to get some gift cards and some wine for my girlfriends birthdays that I was meeting up with later that night for dinner.  Got to the check out line and couldn't find my keys to scan my GE card.  Realized I had locked them in my car and when I went to call the police department to have someone unlock it for me found out my phone was D.E.A.D. dead.  The lovely ladies at the costumer service desk let me use the phone to call the police-who informed me that this was a crazy Friday night and all the accidents would take precedence over my locked car keys(annoying but totally understandable).  To call AAA- who after spending a significant amount of time on the phone with them verifying information and what not informed me that it would take about 3-4 hrs to send someone out (WTF!).  And my dear husband- who was an hour away but said he would come to my rescue.  As I reached over the costumer service desk to hang up the phone I knocked over the two bottles of red wine I had just purchased and they shattered all over the floor right in front of two young kids and their mom, one of which was startled so bad she started crying (FML).  For an hour and a half I stood at the front of the store praying I wouldn't see anyone I knew, wondering why the bench outside in the freezing cold was the only available seating as my pregnant aching back was killing me and wishing I could pop open one of those bottles of wine and chug away.  I did keep busy by counting how many people actually gave money to the Salvation Army bell ringer until Ben got there.  I empathized with her standing there in the cold and when I left gave more than I usually do.  On the bright side I was only 20 minutes late to my dinner with the girls and by the end of the night I was laughing so hard I was crying.  I couldn't even tell you what I did the rest of the weekend, it flew by so fast.

Alas, it's a new week and a new day and I've got cute Christmas favorites to share.

Those Blue knit hats are so soft and comfy and if baby boy number three where here this Chritmas he would totally be decked out in that gnome outfit.  How cute is that?!  The merry christmas tee has a matching one for Mama too!  I love all the Christmas clothes this time of year, I only wish they could wear them for more than just a few weeks.  That's why I love the blue PJs, they are perfect for the whole holiday season:)

Hope everyone is having a great week, off Christmas shopping I go!

The Boys Holiday Photos

First things first, THANK YOU for all your sweet comments and well wishes on baby number three!  We are definitely feeling the love over here and are so happy to give Charlie and Brad a little brother!  The more we think about the future and what three little boys will bring the more excited we get.  I can't wait to hear three sets of pattering feet coming down the steps Christmas morning, dressing them alike for as long as I can get away with it and you know I'm going to be THAT soccer mom.  So much to look forward to!
Over the past few weeks I found out SEVEN of my friends and family are also pregnant, due in June and (even crazier) have my same exact due date, 6/11/17!  Only three of the seven have a different due date than me but still so close, two are on the 7th and the other is the 15th.  How fun is that?
I had a quick holiday photo session done for the boys a few weeks ago.  I wanted to use them for Christmas cards, our baby announcement and add to our collection for a gallery wall in our new home. I just love how they turned out!  They truly capture the silliness and love between these two boys.  I had a hard time choosing my favorites.  And can you tell how obsessed I am with varsity letter sweaters? #sorrynotsorry
Enjoy!

We are ready to see Santa on the firetruck this Wednesday.  Hope everyone is having a great week!

Oh Boy!

Baby number three is as handsome as can be!

It's blue on blue on blue over here, can you believe it!  I love my sweet beautiful boys more than anything in the world and the thought of adding another one to our family just warms my heart.  Now that we know I feel a strong need to have a name picked out for him but so far no names are really sticking out.  Charlie and Brads names have such special and sentimental meaning to us but we were excited to now be able to just pick a name that we truly love.  The only problem is the names we really love we already used as their middle names, Beau and Coen.  So we are starting from scratch, it's gonna be a good one it just hasn't come to us yet:)
I also can't wait to get planning a nursery!  We picked an awesome dark blue/gray paint color and decided to use it as an accent in all of the boys rooms.  The baby will get a bold stripe wall, Charlie will have a full painted accent wall and Brad will have all four walls half painted with a chair rail.  So fun!
We are so excited to know a little bit more about this baby inside me and can't wait to meet him!  We love you, little one!

Our Thanksgiving

I know I say this every year but this really was the best Thanksgiving to date!  You know it's a good one when you never take out your phone to take pictures, the only down side is now I don't have any to share. We headed to my moms house on Thanksgiving, I always look forward to her food.  She makes the best mashed potatoes ever, she must put crack in them or something because they are so addicting.  My sister literally eats a huge plate of mashed potatoes and corn as her meal, nothing else. haha
On Friday we put up or Christmas tree.  Charlie had so much fun decorating it until Tasmanian Brad woke up from his nap.  We had to keep the whole bottom half of the tree bare so he would stop ripping down glass ornaments and hulk smashing them together like he was one of those toy monkey's with the cymbals.  We kept our tradition alive and deep fried our turkey which turned out awesome but even better were our deep fried pickles!  Every time I go to a restaurant that has deep fried pickles I order them.  Our pickles were waaaay better than any restaurants I've ever had.  So delicious.
We rounded out our long weekend making a yummy ginger bread house and going to see Santa and Mrs. Clause.  The boys loved him!  Charlie couldn't wait to tell Santa that he wanted a Hatchimal (how the hell I'm getting my hands on one is beyond me).  And Santa blew Charlie's mind when he said he was sending Frankie (our Elf on a Shelf) to watch over him until Christmas. Charlie couldn't believe Santa knew our elf's name:)  It was a fun night for us all and now that I know how much the boys love him, I'm super excited for when Santa visits on the fire truck this year!

Happy December and Happy Holidays!

Our Family Is Growing!

We are so excited to share that Charlie & Brad will become big brothers to our littlest baby Reeder, due in June 2017!
I went back and re-read my pregnancy announcement from when I was pregnant with Brad and I feel the exact same way this pregnancy- miserable.  So nauseous and queasy 24/7 but this time around I've been vomiting and have terrible lower back pain, both of which I never experienced with my prior pregnancies.  I've always heard that a sick mama means a healthy baby so I really can't complain.  Just a few short weeks and I'll be out of the first trimester and I'm hoping all my nasty symptoms will be gone too.
We are going to find out the gender this time around!  Some say when you find out the gender you are able to bond quicker and easier with the baby.  I didn't find out with Charlie or Brad but I still felt a strong bond to them, I'm excited to see if I feel any different knowing this time.  Plus, with the new house I'll be able to give this baby a proper nursery, something neither of the boys really had.
Ben and I will officially be outnumbered next summer with three kids! (insert nervous face emoji here) But we are so happy and thankful to become a family of 5!  To say we are excited is an understatement.  We are over the moon and so in love and can't wait to meet our newest member!
Hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving!
XOXO

Happy Birthday Eve, Charlie Beau!

It's hard to believe my first little baby will be four years old tomorrow.  It's true time flies when you're having fun but I also think time flies when you're in love & I couldn't be more in love with this child of mine.
Charlie is my little charmer.  He knows how to butter me up to get exactly what he wants.  I literally cannot say no to this kid, partly because I want to reward him for being so well behaved and the other part because he's so damn cute.
Day after day he amazes us with his kind and patient spirit towards his little brother.  Brad loves him so much and I'm so proud of the role model Brad has in him.
Charlie is obsessed with drawing and coloring right now and it's been so fun to watch his creative side.  In a matter of weeks he went from scribbling all over the paper to drawing faces and coloring inside the lines.  He is also obsessed with "building houses".  He gathers all his materials i.e. blocks and toy odds and ends then builds little houses for all his figurine guys.  You can imagine how excited he gets to go to our house while it's being built.  He brings his tools and pick axe and loves to dig and help wherever he can.  We let him pick out his bedroom and he loves going up to check on his rooms progress.  He is just as excited as we are for the big move.
What an amazing year it's been, Charlie but I have a feeling 4 will be your best year yet!

We are celebrating his birthday with our families this weekend.  Cake & ice cream, presents and Disney Live!  He's so excited and so are we!
To our sweetest little boy that made us parents four years ago, we love you more than you will ever know.  Happy Birthday!

Friday Favorites

The official countdown to Thanksgiving is on and I know November is going to fly by as fast as October did. We are over here enjoying all these warmer than usual fall days all while listening to festive Christmas music which is totally contradicting each other!  I've got some fun Friday Favorites to share today, enjoy!

Sweater weather is upon us and there's two sweaters that I'm so in love with right now.  This animal print pull over sweater is the cutest, super cheap and goes great with anything.  I'm also in love with this super cozy sweater.  I purchased this one a size larger than I usually wear to give it a more casual feel instead of a slim fit.  Love!

My friend got me this candle for my birthday and it has quickly become my favorite candle ever!  It smells sweet, fresh and floral-y.  And the jar is just beautiful!  I seriously have the sweetest most thoughtful friends a girl could ask for.  My girlfriends are on my favorites list all year round;)

This weather has me craving comfort food so when I came across this sandwich on Pinterest I was like, Yes Please! Sloppy joe grilled cheese?  How have I never heard of this before?!  Anyways, it's brilliant and I can't wait to try it!

J.Crew has some of my favorite shirts for the boys on sale right now including the ones pictured below.  I just snagged this one and this one on sale last week for Charlie too.  So cute.  Nothing for Brad though, he gets the hand me downs-wha wha.

Hope everyone has the best weekend! XO

Halloween 2016

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!  I seriously love seeing all your little ones dressed up on social media and I especially love seeing all the family costumes. There were some really clever ones this year!
We had another fun year.  We took the boys over to my mom's house like we do every year.  This was Brad's first time trick or treating and he loved it.  He followed big bro's lead and kept right up with him for about six houses, then he was ready to head back to my mom's to help pass out candy.  Charlie got a kick out of showing Brad the ropes. "C'mon Brad, yell trick or treat!" "Hold your bucket out, Brad!" He was such a good little helper but as soon as Brad was back at my moms it was game time for Charlie. He was on a candy collecting mission running from house to house for an hour.  Then when his bucket was filled to the brim he was ready pack it in.
Seeing my little dragons trick or treating together just melted my heart.  I know there aren't too many more Halloweens where they will dress up the same or even want to go trick or treating with each other so I was busy soaking up these sweet moments. Happy Halloween from this Mother of Dragons to you!

Happy November! Now Bring on the Christmas music! XO

MyTop 5 Favorite Essential Oils

Tis the season for cold and flu symptoms, my friends.  Is it just me or did the weather turn super crumby super fast?  These cold rainy days are no fun.  Paired with the fact that Ben and I have been so busy this past week, running non-stop, we barely have time to take a breath.  By the end of the day my body has that acky feeling you get when you're about to get super sick.  I'm looking forward to things slowing down for us next week and luckily we haven't gotten sick yet so I wanted to round up a few of my must have essential oils that are helping our family promote less stress and good health.

Lavender-  This is my favorite and one I use most often.  I use it every night either in the boys diffusers or a few drops in their bath water.  It's a great way to sooth and relax before bedtime and it also has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.  No need to use in a combination with other oils. It holds it's own very well.

Eucalyptus-  Another one I use by itself in the diffuser.  This has been a great decongestant for little stuffy noses.

Lemon- The "oil of focus".  I love pairing Lemon and Rosemary to the back of my neck mid-day when I'm starting to hit the wall. The lemon acts as a pick me up and the rosemary helps me push through and get $h*t done.  Side note:  If you have any pesky stickers or labels that have left a yucky film behind.  Use a few drop of lemon and watch the sticky film rub right off.

Peppermint-  I love combining Peppermint and Wild Orange together for a refreshing wake up call.  I use a few drops of each in the difusser and really love the smell.

On Guard-  Great for immune support.  This blend includes Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary.  This combination also helps support the bodies natural antioxidant defenses.

Hope everyone is staying warm and keeping healthy!  I'm so excited to share the boys costumes next week:) Until then, Happy Halloween!

Giorgio Armani Beauty

For most of my adult life I've been trying to find my own signature scent.  I started using CK One way back in the day, I don't think I necessarily loved the smell I just wore it for the same reasons I was french cuffing my jeans and shopping at Delia's, because I thought it was cool. I moved on to Victoria Secrets Super Model, which I really did love but sadly they discontinued it after only a few years.  After that I was all over the place.  I bought Lolita Lempicka because my friend Jessica wears it and I always love the way she smells but it just doesn't smell the same on me.  I also bought Thierry Mugler's Angel because my friend Rachael wears it and even though I love the scent I always think of her when I wear it and don't feel like it's truly my scent.  It's the same reason why I could never wear Red Door.  It's my moms scent, when I smell it I immediately think of her.  Enter Giorgio Armani Si Eau De Parfum Intense.  I've finally found a warm musky scent with sweet under tones and a dash of floral's that fits my "scent style" and I'm over the moon in love with it!  Also, If your looking for a matte-ish type lip gloss that performs like a Kylie Lip Kit but isn't nearly as dry you will love Lip Maestro.  They sent The Red and Dark Velvet, both beautiful, long lasting and oh so sexy lip sticks.   The Lip Maestro collection has perfect shades for this fall/winter season.  I seriously look forward to nights out just so I can wear my new lip stick.  Giorgio Armani Beauty is killing it with their new line of scents and lip stains!  Go treat yo' self, ladies!

Have a great weekend! XO

Halloween Favorites

We had another fun fall weekend this past week.  While Ben and his brother were busy with some electrical work on our house, my sister and I took the boys to a little fall festival down the street at a family owned farm near by.   We spent most of our time looking at the animals per Charlie's request but we also got to take a hay ride and pick out some baby pumpkins.  I can't wait to take the boys to an actual pumpkin patch and apple orchard in the next few weeks too.
I've rounded up some of my favorite Halloween swag for boys.  That mummy hoodie and sweat pants could totally pass for a costume.  So cute!  Charlie decided a few months ago what he wanted to be for Halloween so I snagged his costume early before they jacked the prices.  I can't wait to see all the fun creative costumes this year!
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six
And here is a little #Throwbackthursday for ya! What a difference a year makes!
Hope everyone is enjoying the start of this holiday season!
