Mini Photo Shoot

I wanted to share a few pictures from Brad's six month photo shoot I took last week.
I hope these two stay best friends.  I hope they look out for, stand up for and take care of each other.  I hope they love each other unconditionally.  And I hope they always know how much they are loved.
They are obsessed with each other and I'm obsessed with them!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! XO

Brad's 6 Month Update

...and just like that we're celebrating Brad's half birthday!  That saying "The days are long but the years are short." couldn't be more true.  Time is just flying by.

Age: 6 Months
Stats: Not sure since he hasn't had his 6 mo. well visit yet.  If I had to take a stab at his stats I'd say 20 lbs. and 28 in.  All the heart eyes for those thighs!
Nicknames: Rad Brad (duh), Big Bad, The littlest, and B-rad.
Milestones: Sitting up unassisted and eating real food!  So far he has tried bananas, avocados, applesauce, and steamed carrots. The bananas are his favorite so far.
Signature Moves: Flicking his toes.  He does this thing with his two big toes where he flicks them back and forth over and over again, even if he's wearing socks or footed pj's.  It's so funny!  Pulling our hair and grabbing our faces and trying to suck on our cheeks and nose's are also at the top of the list!
Least Favorite Things: Although he's getting more used to it, he still loath's being in the car for too long.  He also is still having trouble sleeping through the night.  He wakes up around 11 pm and 3:30 am every night.  The good news is he quickly falls back asleep after a bottle but I still long for the nights when he was sleeping from 8 pm to 6 am.
Favorite Things: He loves being in his walker!  He tools around in it all day:)  He also loves chewing on teethers. These Innobaby teethers are amazing!  He has the blue, yellow, green flower, grapes, strawberry and also the Zoli bunny and he loves them all! He still loves bath time and now that he's sitting on his own we switched to a different bath seat that allows him to sit up right.  It blew his mind!  He's on the same level as his big bro and it's a total game changer!  Now if only I could get Charlie to share more of his baths toys.

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Brad!  You are a true delight and we love you!
XO

Resolution inspiration

The boys are still trying to shake colds they got around new years eve (yes another freaking cold). It started as the usual runny nose and then turned into a cough. Ugh. We are literally just passing it around and at this point I don't even know what to do about it.  I think I'm being punished, when it was just Charlie we never got sick and I was always boasting about it.  I'd stick my nose up at people and their kids for always being sick.  Now I'm those people.  Up until now I was pretty reluctant on giving Brad medicine but found Zarbee's Naturals and love it!  I've really just been focusing on getting them healthy again and hope this week we get it under control.

I thought I'd put together a little new years inspiration for the mama's.  Twelve days in to our resolutions and still going strong!?  Whether you're trying to kick your social media/device addiction (or at least lighten up) or are trying to lose weight and get fit I've found some fun swag to give you that extra push!

I can't wait to read Eat Pretty which claims to give a full lifestyle makeover and the Timer Water bottles are perfect for making sure you get your water fix in for the day.  I also love the fruit infuser water bottles, these ones were on Shark Tank and look awesome.  Speaking of Shark Tank, hello Bon Affair.  Also, I was out to dinner with some girlfriends a couple months ago and they were talking about wet brushes and how amazing they are so I ran out and bought one, tried it and then ran out and bought one for my mom, sister and mother in law!  If you are tired of ripping through your hair with a regular paddle brush after the shower or your resolution is to get healthier hair you need one of these in your life!  I'm going on my third month of postpartum hair loss and this brush has really helped.  On the contrary, Brad's hair is growing like a weed.  It's super blonde and no matter what I do, it sticks straight up!

Hope everyone is having a great week! XO

Happy New Year!

Hi! First post of the new year!  Thank you for following along with me, I truly enjoy blogging and sharing/documenting our journey (three years strong)!

Another year gone and I'm sad to see it go.  It was a year of growth and change and of love and sorrow.  Our highlight was welcoming Brad into our family.  What a gift!  Our low was losing Gram, she will be missed and remembered always. That being said I am so excited for 2016!  It will be a year of travel and opportunity and of new beginnings. This year, more than ever, I can't wait to see what's in store for us!
We rang in the new year with friends, actually we rang in the new year in the car on our way home with two sleeping boys in the back seat, but before that we celebrated with our same friends that we celebrated with last year and we had so much fun!
I went back and read through my past two new years posts and was happy to see that I followed through on both my new year resolutions.  Last year it was to keep a fit and happy pregnancy and postpartum.  Even though I looked like a whale at nine months I was going to my personal trainer all the way up until the day before I gave birth and eating healthy.  I also quickly lost my baby weight after and since I'd like to say I'm a positive happy person by nature, that part was easy!  I think there is something to be said for sharing your goals with family and friends so I'm going to share my resolution for this year too.  This year I'm going to eat healthy.  Not diet or try to lose weight, just eat healthy.  More fruits and veggies, more water, more smoothies (shocker), more cleanses and more clean eating.  That's it, nothing crazy.  There, I said it, now I'll do it.

Happy New Year, Friends and Family!  I hope all your 2016 wishes come true! XOXO
