Kids Fashion Friday Featuring Rolls and Raspberries

Happy Kids Fashion Friyayayayay!  I'm super excited to share Rolls and Raspberries, a fun t-shirt boutique for kids (and Mama's too!).  As soon as I saw their signature Rolls and Raspberries onesie I immediately thought of Brad!   With his never ending drool and his ham bone thighs this onesie had his name written all over it!  Doesn't Brad look so Rad?!

Here are some of my other Rolls and Raspberries favorites!  How cute is this Mermaid onesie for little girls and the Pillow Fort Architect tee?  Definitely need that one for Charlie! So fun!

They print on super soft American Apparel tee's, using eco-friendly water based inks and shipping in the U.S. is always free! Check them out on Instagram: rollsandraspberries and use code INSTA10 for 10% off at checkout!  We love all their witty tee's for Mama and mini!  Thanks for participating with us, Rolls and Rasperries!
Hope everyone has a great weekend and stay tuned for more fun kids clothing, toy and decor shop features!

Brad's Nine Month Update

Even though our littlest is 9 months today he is the biggest of the big boys wearing 18-24 mo. clothes like a boss.  He smiles so hard that it just ends up looking like he's got his mouth open as wide as he can.  And his hair, oh that hair makes my world go round!
It seems we have finally turned the corner with regards to sleep.  He is down to waking up once sometimes twice a night.  It's almost a curse that he was sleeping through the night from 2 to 5 months because we know what it feels like and every night are desperately trying to get that back!  I was blaming this no sleep business on teething but the dude is still all gums. His two bottom teeth are this close to popping threw though and I think they are going to come in at the same time!
His 9 mo. well visit isn't until next Friday so I don't know his stats but I do know that I am not strong enough to lug him around in his car seat anymore.  When I take him shopping now he sits up in the front of the cart, big boy style!  He loves it!
Although he's crawling everywhere he prefers to pull up and furniture walk.  That's exactly how Charlie was too.  Charlie kinda skipped over the crawling stage and went straight for furniture standing/walking.
Brad is demanding a lot of attention these days.  He wants to be held and entertained. He doesn't like to lay still for diaper changes or his monthly pictures or anything really!  He loves playing with Charlie and I really love seeing them play together.  I love watching Charlie teach him new things and I love watching them make each other laugh.  Brad is lucky to have him as role model and someone to look up too!
He says Mama and Dada, he waves and claps.  He loves biting on your chin and frozen teethers.  He loves when daddy throws him up in the air and he loves when I hold him tight while rocking and singing to him.  I could do that forever.

Happy 9 months, sweet baby boy.

Also, I know I have been talking about a Kids Fashion Friday series for awhile now.  I'm always getting questions about where I get the boys clothes from and while most of the time it's from Gap and Target, I'm excited to say that I have been working hard over the last month to team up with some of my favorite kids clothing, toy and decor shops!  With this series I'm hoping to shine light on fun kids boutiques that you may not have heard of before, bring you exclusive coupon codes and maybe even some fun giveaways!  While all products I feature are courtesy of, all opinions are my own!  Keep an eye out next Friday!  Yay:)

Hope everyone has a fun weekend!  I'm headed to dinner tonight with my girlfriends and Ben is leaving for Seattle on Sunday so I get to wrangle the boys by myself for a few days.  Wish me luck!

The Liebster Award

Happy Friday, Friends!!  I joined a hydration challenge team this week and have been drinking between 90 and 106 ounces of water everyday since Monday!  I feel great!  So refreshed and energized!  I'm also feeling great because... two blog posts this week *gasp*  and I was nominated for an award *double gasp*!  Brit from over at the Simply Rustic Co. blog has nominated me for the Liebster Award!   Brit is no stranger here on my blog because I absolutely adore her!  From her beautiful jewelry shop & creative blog to her lovely Instagram feed, this lady is killing it.

Thank you so much for nominating me, Brit!
The Liebster Award is an award given to bloggers by bloggers. A true testament to how supportive this community is! Through this award we can discover new & exciting blogs, recognize what they are doing & reciprocate the love!

Here are some basic guidelines to take note of, if you have been nominated for a Liebster Award;

1. Write a blog post about your nomination, displaying an image of the award.
2. Thank the person who nominated you & include a link to their blog.
3. Answer the 11 questions the person who nominated you asked you in his/her blog post.
4. Nominate 5-11 other new bloggers who you think deserve this award.
5. Come up with 11 questions of your own for them to answer.
6. List these guidelines in your blog post
Here are my answer's to Brit's questions...

1. What is your favourite thing about being a mother?
Snuggles!  Hands down.  Little baby and toddler snuggles are literally everything to me!  I could go on and on about all the different ways that being a mother is so rewarding but nothing beats a good snuggle session.

2. How do you balance blogging while being a mother & all your other tasks throughout the week?
I honestly don't think I do a very good job balancing.  My blog, though it serves as a happy place for the right side of my brain, is always the last thing I give my attention to.  I work (almost) full time and of course all my mom duty's come first so once I get any free time I'm like Netflix and chill.  I see so many mom blogger's posting 3 or 4 times a week and I'm over hear like "I posted something this week! Holler!" No but really, there is no method to my madness. I play defense and just do it when I can:)

3. What is your favourite family outing you went on this year?
Besides going out to dinner for the first time as a family of four just last week we really haven't taken any trips with our whole family yet.  Partly because of the cold weather and partly because Ben and I took a couple trips by ourselves.  We do have some fun things planned for later in the year though!

4. What is your most cherished family tradition?
Spending 4th of July weekend at my parents boat and lake house.  I didn't realize how much I loved spending the 4th on the lake until last summer when I couldn't go because I was 9 months pregnant and nervous to travel too far in case I went into labor.  The 4th is also a special weekend to me because it's when Ben proposed:)

5. What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten & what is something you have never eaten but would like to try?
If it's strange you can bet your bottom dollar I'm not going to try it!  Something that I would like to try but haven't yet it macaroons!  They're the prettiest little desserts and look so yummy!

6. If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
Stephanie on the Fly. That's me, I'm not a planner and I do most things on the fly.  I prefer to not worry about things and cross bridges when I get there.  I thinks that's why motherhood comes easy for me since kids are so unpredictable.  Sometimes my lax perspective comes across as not caring but that's far from the truth.  I think the biography would be a laid back easy read with beautiful pictures:)

7. What is your favourite song right now? & why?
Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw.  I love the message and I always think of my boys when I hear it.

8. What is your biggest fear?
Something terrible happening to my children.

9. What would you ask for, if you knew the answer would be Yes?
I would ask that my family live happy healthy lives and for a billion dollars of course.

10. What is your favourite movie? & why?
Clueless is my jam!  So immature, right?!  I have that whole movie memorized from start to finish.

11. What are you having for dinner tonight?
Fajitas!  Arriba, Arriba!
I'm so excited to nominate these lovely ladies...

Summer at Pearl + Petunia

Pauline & Doris at My Cutie Pie

Adrienne at Ready Set Life

Mal at Malcomb Design

Congratulations!

Here are my questions for my nominee's...

1. What is your favorite thing about blogging?
2. Who is your favorite Blogger to follow?
3. What clothing store do you love most (for kids or ladies)?
4.  Where have you vacationed to that you would love to visit again?
5.  What is your favorite way to live healthy?
6. If you could meet anyone famous (alive or dead) who would it be?
7. Favorite color?
8. What's your favorite thing about yourself?
9. Dream job?
10. If you had an extra $100,000 dollars what would you do with it?
11.  What is your favorite quote & why?

Have fun, Ladies!  Can't wait to see your answers!
XOXO

Charlie Tales

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We went out to dinner for the first time as a family of four on Friday and the boys did so well! Even so, Ben and I felt like we had to scarf our food down and get outta there before their good moods turned into anything less desirable.  It snowed on Saturday, so Charlie was thrilled to get out and play in it with Ben while Brad and I stayed in watching old episodes of The O.C. on Hulu while doing laundry.  Saturday night the boys stayed with my mom while Ben and I went to dinner and movie and then Sunday was my friends baby shower so we had a fun filled weekend.

It's been awhile since I did a Charlie tales and this kid cracks us up on the daily!  He's into acting out all his favorite movies right now and it's so funny to watch because he acts out all the characters at once.  For instance, he'll act out both Chip and Dale jumping back and fourth with different voices.  "Hi! I'm Chip!" <jumps to the right> "Hi! I'm Dale!" <jumps to the left> "Get outta here, Dale before I bonk ya on the head!" It's even funnier when he does all Seven Dwarf's plus Snow White!

Anyone else loving Chris Stapleton right now!?  Ben has his cd and we listen to it all the time in the car (my favorite is Tennessee Whiskey).  Anyways, Charlie loves singing along to Nobody To Blame. The chorus lyrics go "...and I got nobody to blame but me."  Charlie sings "...I got nobody to play with me."

This story sums up Charlie and his sweet personality so well.  While grocery shopping a couple weeks ago Charlie spotted a brightly colored dinosaur cup with a straw for a tail. "Look what I found, Daddy!" He yelled at Ben. You could tell he really wanted it. Ben looked and said "That's really neat! We aren't going to buy it though." Even though he was disappointed he without hesitation replied "Ok, we should leave it for another little boy that wants it."  Ah, my heart (and Ben's too) just burst right there in the aisle. I was literally holding back tears.  If ever we thought we weren't doing this whole thing called parenting right, we were definitely proven wrong that day.  And yes, he got the dinosaur cup:)

Keep being silly, curious and sweet, Charlie.  Keep making up your own words and acting out your favorite scenes.  Keep being you because that's who we love so much!
P.S.  This is what happens when I let Charlie take pictures with my camera! Lol!!  He is actually really good at taking pictures and it has inspired me to share a little series, "Charlie's Shots"  a collection of pictures he has taken of Brad (with fun angles I would have never thought of) that turned out really cool!  Stay tuned:)

Spring Staples Featuring Simply Rustic Co.

Happy April, friends!  I'm so excited to kick off spring and team up with one of my favorite Etsy shops, Simply Rustic Co.  I pulled together my top five spring staples using a few of my favorite SR Co. necklaces.  These pieces are super classy and chic and can really be styled for any season!  I'm no style blogger but I'm pretty sure everyone loves a good t-shirt and jeans combo!

I'm also really into light brown leather this season and need to get my hands on an oversized leather tote asap.  And I absolutely love my SR Co. necklaces!  They pair well with literally everything and can easily be dressed up or down.  Here are a few more of my favorites from the SR Co. shop...
