Kids Fashion Friday Featuring Littlest Sidekick

You guys! How adorable are these little fox tees!?  This weeks Kids Fashion Friday is brought to you by the Littlest Sidekick!  Home of Finley, a super cute fox who lives within each design throughout the brand!
...and just when you thought this tee couldn't get any cuter turn it around and check out that big bushy tail!  I can't even!

All their gear is gender neutral so I thought I'd put together some style inspiration for the little dudes and divas too:)  Both Littlest Sidekick tee's are paired here with J Crew essentials,  and for the record boys can totally rock those neon citrus bloomers too, just ask Brad!

If you thought Finley the fox was cute you should see all the other designs!  Look at this To The Moon and Back tee and this Brave Like Dad onesie, so perfect for your littlest to wear on Father's Day!  Each shirt is handmade with love.  The line is designed with our babes and their love of exploring and adventure in mind and the mama behind the brand totally knocks it out of the park!  The attention to detail is simply amazing, from the awesome packaging (that might even include an extra little goodie or two) to the handwritten note, she truly makes you feel like a part of the Littlest Sidekick family!

Check out their Instagram to stay up to date on upcoming and new arrivals like these Sibling packages coming soon:) and then head over to the Littlest Sidekick and use code coenandbeau2016 for 20% off your order!!  Code ends tonight at midnight.

Brad's 10 Months New

It seems we've hit another sweet spot!  Brad is 10 months, happy as a clam and back to sleeping through the night!

This kid.  His little personality is shining bright!  He's laid back and lovable, shy, ornery and simply irresistible!  Some of his favorites include wrestling and chasing Charlie. Playing with anything that he's not supposed to like remotes, phones and small choking hazardous objects.  Bath time.  Playing outside and his new favorite, riding in the car cards with his big bro.
We are finally back to sleeping through the night which I couldn't be more excited for!  He goes down at 8 pm and wakes up between 6-7 am!  Feels so good.
He's got one bottom tooth in and a top and another bottom one almost in.  He's a drooling machine and anything he can get his hands on goes straight to his mouth.
He is a little climber, he's climbing up stairs or over barricades and crawls so fast, he's gone in the blink of an eye.  He also stands on his own for a few seconds too!
He's saying Mama and Dada when he sees or wants us.  Will pop up in your face and yell Hiiiiieee!  Says "keeey" when he sees kitties and "Deee" when he sees dogs and he makes these weird zombie grunts all the time!   He loves pointing and waving too:)
He hasn't met any food he doesn't like so far!  He's eating all kinds of new foods and really loving it.  It's getting easier to feed him too because now he can just eat what ever we're having.  I also got out some of Charlie's old sippy cups so that we can start practicing now and hopefully have a smooth transition to them when he turns one!
Speaking of, I can't believe it's time to start planning a first birthday party!  Seem's surreal.
Happy 10 months, Brad Coen!  Every little thing you do is magic and we love you!

Channeling my inner Carrie Bradshaw + Charlie's proposal

I had big plans for this week, a swimwear favorites post and a Fashion Friday post, then my hard drive crashed.  I came in to work last Wednesday, tried to turn on my computer and ...nothin'.  Even though it's my work computer I use it personally and keep everything on it including all my pictures since 2011.  I never worry about backing up because my company uses a "cloud" type backing up system.  Mine had been backing up just fine until this past January when it stopped and I wasn't notified! Agh!  I'm back up and running now and I did thankfully get all my pictures back except for the ones that I had downloaded this year.  I had my Home Office send the old hard drive to a forensics team to see if they can retrieve anything. Fingers crossed they can and that it won't cost me a fortune!  As I wait to hear the verdict, I can't help but think of Carrie Bradshaw and the Sex and the City episode where her computer crashes.  The tech guy I was on the phone with had a similar response to Aiden, "Try this. Now try this. Did you try this?" "Yes, yes I did!" I laugh thinking about when she's on the phone with Miranda, "You know, no one talks about backing up.  You've never used that expression with me before ever, but apparently everyone's secretly running home at night and backing up their work." lol

So here's the best part of my shitty situation... The day it crashed I came home from work feeling very defeated.  I was on the verge of tears on and off all day thinking about how I could lose all my pictures and I was just not feeling well.  Charlie must have sensed it because he stayed by my side all evening, following me around, wanting to help with dinner and wanting to share his favorite toys with me.  As I was heating a bottle for Brad he asked me to pick him up.  I was just standing there holding him in silence while watching the seconds pass on the microwave when out of nowhere he shyly asked "Will you marry me?"   I died, literally, and of course kissed him and said "Yes!"  He totally made my day- I take that back, he made my life.  I don't know what I did to deserve the sweetest little boy on earth but I got him and I'm never letting him go!

I think Ms. Carrie Bradshaw said it best, "After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart.  The best we can do is breathe and reboot."

Mother's Day 2016

Hope everyone had a fun Mother's Day weekend!  Ours was so laid back.  My mom is in Florida on vacation and we didn't have any plans so I had nothing to do and nowhere to be!  My weekend consisted of p.j.'s, a glorious three hour middle of the day nap,  moscow mules (which I kept referring to as my Mother's Day Mules),  a massage, Netflix, and snuggles!  Oh and B-Rad's first tooth came in!
I celebrate getting to be these sweet boys mama everyday.  They are the light of my life.  Being a mother has brought an overwhelming amount of love and joy to my life that I never knew existed until they came along and for that I am so grateful.  I know now what my own mom was talking about when I was pregnant with Charlie.  She said I can't wait for you to feel love the way I love you.  And she was right, it's amazing!
Sharing some of my favorite Mother quotes that I've come across over the years.  These are all so true and so easy to relate to.  I just adore them!

"Motherhood is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." -Elizabeth Stone

"In the end, I am the only one who can give my children a happy mother who loves life." -Unknown

"And she loved a little boy very very much, even more than she loved herself." -Unknown

"For all the things my hands have held the best by far is you." -Unknown

Cheers to all the moms!  My mom and mother-in-law.  My family and friend moms.  Moms who have miscarried or lost a child.  Moms who have adopted or fostered and moms to be.  Hope Mother's Day and every day is filled with peace and love.  And coffee and wine too!
XOXO

Spring Time Favorites

Happy Cinco De Mayo!  I started the day off by paying for the guy behind me in the Starbucks drive thru.  I love doing stuff like that every now and again; it's good for the soul:) I'm also finishing up a Frazzled to Focused 5 day challenge group so I'm feeling extra jazzed this week!
In honor of Mother's Day and warmer weather this weekend I've put together my spring time beauty staples and favorites for all the Mama's #flatlaythursday! Favorites not included (and in no particular order) are: all the Starbucks iced cafe mocha's, Wolffer wine-Summer in a Battle, and Showtime's original series, Shameless.

My Better than Sex Mascara, St. Tropez tanner, Buxom lipstick and Anastasia eyebrow pen have been staples in my beauty bag for a long time now.  They are my must haves and I know I have mentioned most of them in blog posts past so I won't mull over them again.  Some newbies that I do want to share are the Nuxe dry oil, this oil can be used in more than one way.  At night before bed I rub some around my eyes to keep them looking and feeling fresh in the am and I also use it on the ends of my hair after I get out of the shower.  It leaves a non greasy feel and a little goes a long way.  I'm also loving this Sinful Colors- Easy Going shade.  I have a few girl friends that really love O.P.I.'s Summery White and this polish is very comparable at half the price!  And lastly, the Not your Mother's thickening hair lifter works great.  One would think if they already have thick hair this product would be useless but I must say I really love it.  A few pumps of this on my scalp after the shower really helps my thick hair look lifted and not so weighed down!  It smells scrumptious too!

My ultimate spring time fave for the littles is this marled romper that I loved so much when Charlie wore it that I bought a second one in a bigger size so Brad could wear one last fall and one this spring!  It must be one of their best seller's because they seem to restock it and bring it back a few times a year!  I really am obsessed with simple gender neutral pieces especially when you plan on having more kids and want to be able to use hand me downs:)  Charlie's marled sweater is from Gap too but I think it's already sold out.

Hope all you Mama's have a lovely Mother's Day weekend!
XOXO
