Zac's Half Birthday

Go go go go shawty, it's your half birthday!
I got a ton of DM's on Instagram about this adorable outfit and wanted to link it up for you here.  This was a hand-me-down from his cousin but the shop is River Babe ThreadsThe tee is sold out but they have it as a pullover which is way cuter!  And this "Jolly AF" pullover is on my Christmas wish list.  Love it!

Homeboy is growing like a weed! He's my little butterball and I just want to eat him up!  By six months both Charlie and Brad were sitting on their own and walking in a walker.  Zac does neither. Ha.  I know you shouldn't compare kids but Zac definitely needs full support while sitting and when he's in his walker he JUST sits.  Every once in a while he might push himself backwards but for the most part he likes to play it cool and chill.  I'm actually dreading the day he starts tooling around in his walker as we have an open stairway to the basement and I haven't quite figured out how to block that off yet.  A regular baby gate will not suffice.

He must be teething because he's drooling 24/7 and his little tongue is working nonstop massaging his gums.  Both Charlie and Brad started teething around this same time and popped both bottom teeth through around 9 mo.  If history repeats itself we have a long teething road ahead.

He is so happy.  He loves snuggling and singing.  He started clapping this month and his giggles are the best!  He lights up when he smiles and you can't help but light up too!  He's a doll!

He's back sleeping through the night this month!  How? You ask.  I stuffed him right back in his woombie sleep sack.  He's way over the legal weight limit for it but he's got it stretched out good and loves the sh&#t out of it. So...

Happy half birthday, Zac man!  Time is flying.  Gaaa, happy tears.  You are one of a kind and I'm so thankful you're mine!

Thanksgiving 2017

We had a fun and relaxing Thanksgiving last week.  I made the boys these festive breakfast turkeys that they got an absolute kick out of.  We deep fried our real turkey and stuffed ourselves with all the fixings!  Zac tried his first solid food, mashed potatoes and what little bit he did swallow he loved! My mom and I made raspberry mimosa's then we all vegged out the rest of the day. It was perfect.

I got to be the parent helper at Charlies school last week where they talked about what they are thankful for.  Charlie said he was thankful for books, his brothers and being able to play!  What great things he thought of!  We asked Brad what he was thankful for and he said "spida-man".  Can you tell we are superhero obsessed over here!?  Zac is thankful for mashed potatoes, he said so himself:)
I am thankful for my family.  They mean more to me than anything in the world.
Happy December eve, friends!

Charlie Turns 5

We had such a fun day celebrating Charlie's 5th Birthday this weekend!  He partied hard with his cousins and all the people he loves with a superhero themed pizza party.  This has been quite an amazing year for Charlie as we've watched him grow in personality, confidence and cuteness for sure!  We couldn't be more proud of this little boy and all his accomplishments.  Looking forward to this next year and all that life has in store for him!

Happy Birthday, Charlie!  We love you with all the superhero power in the world!

Zac is 5 Months!

Five months have flown by and this guy is turning into Mr. Personality.  All he wants is someone to talk to and a bottle. All you have to do is look at him and say "Hi!" and he lights up like a Christmas tree!

Favorites: Talking, laughing, screaming (he loves screaming as load as he can. Not a crying scream just really trying to find his voice).  Watching his brothers play.  They could entertain him for hours.  Car rides, snuggling and sitting in his highchair.  He loves playing with all his baby toys and teethers and cartoons are also keeping his attention too now.

Dislikes:  Out of nowhere he has decided that he HATES bath time.  I don't know what happened but he screams and cries from the second he touches the water til the second I lift him out.  Really hoping this phase doesn't last long.  Other than that, Dudes still pretty chill.

Milestones:  Not only is he holding his own bottle but as soon as he sees it he is reaching, grabbing and putting it in his mouth.  Our next milestone will be starting solid food!  Thanksgiving sounds like the perfect time to start;)

Sleep: He grew out of his Woombie this month and ever since he stopped wearing it at night he hasn't been sleeping very well.  He pretty much tosses and turns all night long fussing and crying so I've been trying to figure out another alternative.  Sleeping on his belly is most comfortable for him but I'm not super excited about him laying that way at night so we'll see.

He is growing like a weed and is as sweet as can be and we are thoroughly enjoying watching him grow!  We love you little snack man!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Is it snowing where you live today?  We got our first snow fall here in northeast Ohio and it's like a little winter wonderland outside!  This weeks Friday Favorites are all about being comfortable!   From the softest t-shirt and cardigan to anti-colic bottles and comfort food, I've got you covered!
Have you guys checked out the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia line at Target? O.M.G. I want it all!  I am loving all the greenery, the black and white and the overall rustic vibe.  Here are some of my faves... Glass Jug Vases - Kitchen Towels  - Wreath Collection - Matte Flateware.  I'm pretty sure this stuff will only be out for a limited time so run don't walk!

Saturday Morning Pancakes does it again with their "Insane with the Champagne" tee!  These tee's are so soft, a little oversized and a great quality!  I love this brand just as much as I love Champs!  Speaking of which, I was recently introduced to the Chambong a few weeks ago at my friends house.  So fun/funny, we classy like that!

My absolute favorite Knitted Cardigan.  I basically live in this thing 24/7!

It's all about soups and comfort food this season and I found the best of both worlds with this super yummy corn and cauliflower soup over at Salt & Lavender.  So good!

H&M always has the best boy boot options for winter.  They are affordable, handsome and very durable.  I just picked up a few for the boys and can't wait to get them!

The Twistshake toddler cups and baby bottles have quickly become my all time favorite baby products!  They come in a ton of different colors, are all very easy to clean and the boys love them!  Don't forget to use reederandco20 when completing your purchase for 20% off your order!  They offer free shipping on orders over $25 and products ship within 24 hrs. and usually arrive very quickly within 1-3 business days!

Hope you all have a warm and cozy weekend! XO

Halloween 2017

Halloween started pretty rocky for us this year.  First off, we were all coming down from a nasty cold.  My phone had been giving me problems and had to be restored to the factory settings so I didn't have access to my emails to see if Charlie was supposed to dress up for school.  I asked him the night before if his teacher said to dress up and he said no so he didn't.  As soon as we walked in to school and saw all the kids dressed up his jaw hit the floor and I could see the disappointment on his face:(  Sooo I had to haul ass back home to grab his costume and luckily made it back just in time for his parade.   The day ended on a high note though.  We kept up with tradition and made pumpkin seeds like my grandma used to make and had a big homemade spaghetti dinner like my mom always made for me, my sister and friends before heading out trick or treating!  It was too cold for Buzz Lightyear to be out but Iron Man and Wolverine had so much fun!  This was the first year I didn't get to pick out their costumes. Brad chose his solely because of the long claws and was so excited to wear them but never ended up putting them on because that would have required him to put down the sucker!

Happy Halloween!  Now it's time to blast those Christmas carols!!!

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We visited the pumpkin patch last week to pick pumpkins and apples and had so much fun!  The boys really enjoyed picking the apples because they were allowed to eat them while they picked.  Charlie did all the picking, Brad did all the eating and Zac slept on Ben's should for most of the trip.  Hope everyone is enjoying all these perfect weather fall days!  We are so excited for Halloween and really this whole holiday season.  It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Here's a few shots from our outing, enjoy!

XOXO

Zac's Four Month Update

This four month mark has quickly become a sweet spot for us.  He's got a nice routine going during the day and still sleeping through the night so (I know I say this for every stage *eye roll*) this is by far our favorite stage!

Age: 4 months
Stats: Not sure his exact stats because I haven't taken him for this months well check (which reminds me I need to schedule that!) If I had to guess I'd say 22 lbs. and 29 in. long!
Nicknames: No nicknames!  We all just call him Zac. Except Brad, Brad calls him Zachary Duke Reeder or my baby all the time!
Milestones: We got a good one this month, rolling from belly to back!  I haven't seen it yet but sometimes when I lay him down on his belly for a nap he's on his back when he wakes up!  He wiggles all over his crib at night too. I lay him down the same way every night and he is in complete opposite positions by the morning.  This month, just like Charlie, he started losing is hair and the regrowth is coming in super blonde!
Favorites: He absolutely loves sitting up on the couch and watching his bro's play.  They are his favorite entertainment and the three of them are becoming quit the trio:) He also loves chatting and laughing!  When he's really excited he does these high pitched squeals that are equally annoying and cute at the same time! He loves being snuggled, held, rocked, sang to and kissed on his cheeks and neck. He still loves being swaddled at night but he is quickly growing out of his Woombie and they don't make a bigger size than the one we've got so I'm searching for an alternative option.  Suggestions welcomed! He is just starting to get the hang of holding and chewing his teethers too.  He really enjoys slobbering all over them!
Least Favorites: I'm not joking when I say there's nothing he doesn't like.  Besides daddy's scruffy beard, as long as he's not hungry this boy is sooo laid back and happy.  He just hangs out and is enjoying the good life!
Signature Moves: He loves sucking on his fingers and fists and is turning into a little drool monster. Blowing spit bubbles and raspberries all day long.
We love you to the moon, Zachary Duke!

Teeth Whitening Review + Giveaway

My days are spent 50% wondering if it’s too late to drink coffee and 50% wondering if it’s too early to drink wine. I’m totally addicted to both because…kids.
My teeth have suffered from staining over the years because of my excessive coffee and wine drinking and I’ve never been able to stick to a whitening plan because my teeth are so sensitive.  Whitening strips have always bothered my teeth and gums and whitening toothpaste has never been effective for me.  I even paid the big bucks for professional whitening services under a blue light at my dentist’s office a few years ago.  My teeth did seem whiter when I left but the next morning I swear they looked stained again.  I was so disappointed and thought that was just the way my teeth would always look.
When SmileBrilliant reached out to see if I wanted to review their teeth whitening kit I decided to give it a try especially because they offer a desensitizing gel that helps for sensitive teeth like mine!  This product has quickly become one of my beauty must haves, here’s why…
The SmileBrilliant kit is exactly what you would get at a professional dentist’s office just waaaay less expensive!  The process from start to finish is super easy!  They send you a teeth molding kit with detailed instructions on how to get a perfect mold of your teeth (upper and lower).  You send your molds in to their lab with a postage paid package they provide.  Within a week you receive your custom fitted trays (like clear retainers) and you are all set to get whitening.  I did my sessions every other night before bed for about an hour or so and sometimes on the weekends I would do it in the morning while showering and getting ready for the day.  What’s the best part about the process, you ask?  It works!  I saw results after my first session and after my fifth session others starting noticing my whiter teeth too!

Giveaway Time!
I’m so impressed with SmileBrilliant that I want to do a giveaway!  One winner will receive a $139 credit to SmileBrilliant!  Giveaway ends in 2 weeks on Oct. 20th and is open to USA, UK, Canada and Australia!

Charlie's First Day of School

Happy Friday and happy first day of fall!  This week has been rough.  Charlie brought home a case of hand, foot and mouth disease from school to share so graciously with his brother.  I'm doing everything in my power to make sure Zac doesn't get it. So far so good but we still have a long road to battle so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
On a lighter note, I can't believe I have a child in school!  Last week on Charlie's first day I had an epiphany.  From this day forward I will have kids in school for the next, what? 20 years (or more if you count college)!?  What an adventure we are embarking on.
Ever since this past February when I signed Charlie up for preschool he has had major anxiety over it. Ben and I started talking to him about it in the most positive ways we could think but he wasn't responding well. He would cry, be visually distraught and even developed a stutter just over the mere thought of it.  Knowing how scared he was was totally stressing me out.  The only thing we could think to do was to keep talking about it and letting him know that it was ok to be afraid but he really didn't need to be.  We read books about school, let him pick out a back pack and his own school clothes.  After our parents orientation, I let him know I met his teacher and loved her and saw his classroom with tons of fun things to do in it.  All of this helped but it wasn't until he received a postcard in the mail from his teacher a few days before his first day with the sweetest note that he actually smiled and after a few serious questions ("So if I go to school how will I eat dinner?" and "What if I have to go to the bathroom at school?") he said "Ok, I want to go to school."  Literally, just like that all of his fears went out the window and I was so happy I pretended I had to go to the bathroom, locked myself in a cried like a baby.
On his first day, he was nervous for sure but there were no tears except from his teacher when he handed her flowers.

Now that we are a couple days in he absolutely LOVES it!  He goes to bed every night asking if he can go to school tomorrow and wakes up in the morning asking if he gets to go to school today.  He's thriving in the classroom setting and I'm just over the moon excited for him and what a wonderful student he's becoming.  We are so proud!

Zac's Three Month Update

I tried getting this post live last week but we were super busy, mostly with Charlie's school preparation (which I'll post about later this week!).  Our littlest hit some big milestones this past month and I'm excited share!

Zac has been sleeping in his crib in his own room every night for the past week!  He was ready for the transition a month ago but I wasn't.  Even though we had the camera set up I was still nervous about having him upstairs by himself.  He has been doing just fine up there and I'm hoping he keeps this 8pm-7am sleep pattern going!  I wanted to link a few things here for you guys as I have gotten a lot of questions after my 2 month update and my Instagram story of his first night in the crib. First, the monitor we use is this Motorola Camera. I love it!  It has amazing picture quality, monitors room temperature and has an app to use on your phone.  The night vision is so good I can actually see his little belly moving up and down while he breaths which is obviously a plus.  Also, I linked this in my Newborn must haves post but the swaddle I use is this Woombie.  I have the Bamboo Mod'Swad  version in rockstar and Zac really loves sleeping in it.  Hope that helps!

Zac's personality shines brighter with each day.  Not only are we getting big smiles but he is starting to laugh too!  Ahh so cute!  He loves to be talked and sang to and he also loves to be sitting up so that he can see all action!

He skipped right over 6mo. clothes and went straight to 9mo. over night and he's filling the 9 months out good.  I bet he's in 12 month clothes by the time he hits 4 months!

Happy 3 months, Zac!

Why We Love Freshly Picked

Let me count all the ways we love Freshly Picked moccasins!  Back in 2013 when Charlie was my littlest I was searching high and low for shoes that fit his wide thick feet and coming up short, especially in the cuteness department.  It's fairly easy to find wide shoes for kids but what I was having trouble with was the thickness of his foot from top to bottom.  It also seemed like I was either finding shoes that were functional but not at all cute or very cute but not at all functional.  That was until I discovered FP moccs:) These moccs fit all types of little kids feet in all shapes and sizes and are both cute and functional!  The leather stretches over time so if your pair are a little tight at first don't sweat it, they will stretch and literally form to your childs feet.  I personally like to order a size up so that they have room to grow and trust me if you do order up they will still stay on!
I also love all the colors and styles they have to choose from and most of them are gender neutral!  My favorite are the Green Camo (pictured below) for the boys but love seeing little ladies in them too!  If you haven't noticed the FP team work hard to bring us fresh colors, styles and designs all the time and they hit it out of the park every time!  The Care Bears Collections is my current favorite.  All the heart eyes for those Sunshine bear and grumpy bear moccs!
These moccasins are the perfect shoe for little ones learning to crawl and walk.  The combination of the durable leather, all around light weight and soft soles make learning to walk so much easier.
And lastly, they are the easiest shoe to slip on! With three kids getting out the door in a timely fashion is nearly impossible.  Not having to tie, strap or buckle shoes is a huge plus in my book and trust me if daddy can slip them on quickly anyone can:)
Congratulations to Kasey B. who won my Freshly Picked giveaway, a pair of moccasins of her choice for her little one!  Thank you so much to everyone who entered and thank you for following along with me here on the Reeder & Co Show!  I really appreciate it! XOXO

Newborn Must Haves

Since last week it was all about the Mamas I wanted to share some of my favorites for the babes!  Just a quick round up of things that have worked really well for Zac these past couple months. Enjoy!
One / Two / Three / Four / Five / Six

Little Faces has the cutest tees!  Their "Little" collection is perfect for announcing your pregnant, baby's gender or for baby's arrival!  They sent us the big, middle and littlest for the boys that I posted on IG last week (so fitting for my littlest Reeders) and also the big brother, promoted and little brother tees that I'll share soon too! They also have the cutest toddler clothing including these skrompers (skirt & romper) that I love for little girls!

We have been getting good use out of our On-The-Go Baby Dome by Fisher Price.  It has been perfect while poolside this summer.  It keeps the sun, heat and bugs out and Zac loves chillin' in it!

I've been using our Modswad Woombie since Charlie was born but Zac has been loving it the most.  He wears it every single night and sleeps like a rock for 9-11 hrs straight! This thing has been my biggest must have with Zac and it just goes to show how all babies are different because Charlie and Brad didn't use it nearly as much.

I've shared about our Covered Goods car seat covers many times before but I really can't say enough good things about them!  I have the this stripped one and the grid print and love them so much. You can literally use these things at least 6 different ways, so functional!

I'll be counting all the reasons why I love Freshly Picked Moccasins next week when I announce the winner of my giveaway on Instagram (@reederandco) going on now through Monday.  I wish I was Oprah on her car giveaway episode. "You get moccs! And you get moccs! And you get moccs! Everybody gets moccs!" lol

Lastly, my all time favorite blanket from Copper Pearl.  I love it even more than my Aden + Anais swaddles.  It's larger and stretchy and comes in the cutest patterns.  I bring it everywhere with us!

Don't forget to check back next week after entering my FP giveaway to see if you've won a pair of moccs of your choice!  Have a great weekend! XO

New Momma Must Haves

I've rounded up some fun faves that have totally helped me through these past two months!  Whether you're a first time mom or a new mom of three like me, these cool products should totally be on your must have list.

Converse Chuck Taylor Shoreline Sneakers-  I've had these shoes for over a year now but haven't worn them nearly as much as I have these past two months.  You can literally wear them with anything and trust me I do; from jeans and a tee to summer dresses or to the pool!  I love that they don't tie so they're super easy to throw on as your walking out the door with 3 kids, a car seat, your purse, diaper bag, snacks, the kitchen sink...

L'Oreal Colour Riche Matte Lipsticks-  I don't wear lipstick all that often but when I do I love this matte colour riche collection!  The neutrals are awesome and the Blake Lively Collection has the perfect shade of Red, Blake's Red!

Lalabu Soothe Shirt- The soothe shirt is another one of my favorites.  Super convenient in that you don't have to lug around a mile long baby wearing wrap or big bulky carrier.  This shirt is so cute on it's own or with a baby in it!  It almost fits like spanx so it's very flattering and it's breast feeding friendly.  Double win!

BootayBag-  OBSESSED with BootayBag!  Ok, how fun is this for all us new moms who are feeling a little uncomfortable in our post baby body?  A monthly subscription of 2 beautiful panties.  You choose your favorite styles and size and they ship the goods, for free!  You don't know what you're going to get but you can peep the last months bag and trust me they won't disappoint:) It's a great little monthly pick me up!

Sphynx 3-in-1 Razor- Another convenient product!  This 3-in-1 portable razor has everything you need for a quick spot shave.  Let's face it, we're always rushing while we're in the shower because #kids and it never fails, we miss a spot!  It's got 2 razors, a refillable water sprayer (which I usually fill with cucumber water) and a shea butter-based moisturizing shave bar.  Perfect to throw in your diaper bag and go!

Hope you found something new and fun here!
A word of advise to all my new mama friends. Whether you have one or ten kids, there is no such thing as a perfect mom so relax, enjoy the ride and give yourself grace.  You're doing great!
XOXO
